Grounded Hearts

I found many hearts on a longer lunchtime walk, all of them on the ground. I think this time of year makes them more likely to be found on the ground, because the barren landscape and leaden skies do not invite the possibility of a heart display as much. Still, they were numerous and most welcome.

 I can't help but recognize 3 hearts in this photo. It was not evident to me at the time, but upon closer inspection, the other 2 shapes are very heart-like.

Outside For a Walk

A quick walk at lunchtime netted these photos. These are very clear, but sometimes the effect does not translate to a photograph. I really try to only include the obvious hearts.

Hearts in Quick Succession

The first 3 struck me as very obvious and wanting to be noticed.

 I would even consider this a double heart, which, despite already having seen one this year, they are still very rare.

 I dropped this cookie, and lo and behold, I found a heart.
